Sport Programs
Our students have access to a variety of sports programs. We have lots of gross motor equipment at school that can be used at any time. Students also have access to modified bikes and a bike track. Many of our students participate in sports activities outside the school.
Qualified instructors are also invited to attend our school to share their knowledge and skills with our students. Some of the sports we have completed at our school recently include gymnastics, netball and NRL.
We offer a range of sporting programs for short periods throughout the year. These include tennis, cricket, football, soccer, bowl and dance. We regularly attend out-of-town athletics, swimming and sports carnivals.
Personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE) is mandatory from Kindergarten to Year 10.
According to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), students are expected to participate in PDHPE for between 1.5 and 2.5 hours per week in Kindergarten to Year 6 and for 300 hours per year in Years 7 to 10.
PDHPE provides students with opportunities to explore issues that are likely to impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of themselves and others – now and in the future. Students also participate in challenging and enjoyable physical activity, improving their capacity to move with skill and confidence.
